The OPF brings together practitioners and developers from the digital preservation community to address the challenges of long-term access to digital content. We welcome contributions from any organisations who have a responsibility for or an interest in managing digital content, no matter how big or small, or whether you have a lot of experience or you are just getting started.
Wiki knowledge base
Our wiki offers a wealth of information about digital preservation issues, requirements and solutions and it is regularly updated by the community: http://wiki.opf-labs.org/display/KB/Home
. To edit the wiki please sign up for an account at: http://jira.opf-labs.org/secure/Signup!default.jspa|http://jira.opf-labs.org/secure/Signup!default.jspa
. (Please note this requires a separate login and cannot be accessed by your OPF website account.)
The wiki also provides a home for the projects in which OPF are involved: SCAPE, SPRUCE and the recently closed AQuA project.
There are also a number of Special Interest Groups which focus on a specific topic or tool.
Developing with the OPF
The OPF promotes a strong developer community by providing professional support and services to active developers in the community. The OPF has a mission to support sustainable development through the expansion of both the user-base and developer community. Core to this is the use and adoption of already adopted and widely used standards standards for both development and distribution of software. To learn more please see the “Developing with the OPF wiki page: [http://wiki.opf-labs.org/display/PT/Developing+with+the+OPF].
